Rhythm players can ‘bolt on’ a 1-day
additional course designed especially to help with all aspects
of playing in a rhythm section including comping, voicings,
time-feel, improvisation, interactive skills and so on.
Our expert tutors will be on board and you can enjoy the
same great facilities at the Jewel & Esk College including
on-site accommodation, cafeteria, evening jam sessions and
so on. Learning through a combination of instrument group
classes and combined rhythm section workshops, the course
is open to pianists, guitarists, bassists, drummer/percussionists.
Whilst we anticipate that most students will opt to add
this course to the main 6-day jazz school, it is also possible
to attend the course separately. Tutor details published

The course runs from 10-4.30pm on the Sunday
preceding the main 6-day course.
